
Covington High School held its commencement ceremony for the Class of 2018 at Hobart Arena in Troy on Sunday as family and friends joined the graduates to celebrate their final accomplishments as high school students.
Three Valedictorians in the class spoke during the ceremony – Sarabeth Anderson, Mason Dilley and Spencer Hogue – each with a 4.0 GPA.
The Class of 2018 consisted of 59 graduates and 13 received Honors Diplomas; Sarabeth Anderson, Mason Dilley, Sienna Edwards, Ryan Gengler, Spencer Hogue, Sarah Hubbard, Dylan Kelly, Breanna Kimmel, Victoria Lyle, Braden Miller, Bryan Miller, Andrew Slusher and Bradley Wiggins. Seven graduates also received Academic Excellence Awards with a 3.9 GPA or higher; Sarabeth Anderson, Mason Dilley, Ryan Gengler, Spencer Hogue, Dylan Kelly, Breanna Miller and Victoria Lyle.
Seven departmental awards were earned: Dylan Kelley (English), Sarabeth Anderson (Mathematics), Spencer Hogue (Science), Taylor Ray (Social Studies), Victoria Lyle (Foreign Language and Cameron Schilling (Business/Technology).
Class officers consisted of: President – Jett Murphy Vice President – Sarabeth Anderson Secretary – Mason Dilley Treasurer – Kelsey Dysinger
