Covington citizens and local churches generously volunteered in the installation of new playground equipment at the Covington Community Park over the weekend. Among the local churches who volunteered were the Covington Presbyterian Church, Covington Christian Church, Covington Church of the Brethren, St. John’s Lutheran Church of Covington, Stillwater Community Church and the Fields of Grace Worship Center in Covington.
The equipment was purchased through an Ohio Natureworks Grant and a $10,000 donation from the Covington Community Chest. Extensive labor costs were saved through the generosity of the volunteer workers.
