On Thursday 5/16/2019, Chris Haines, President and CEO of Marias Technology announced the construction of a 26,000 sq ft, three story building, in downtown Covington, adjacent to their current building.
As part of the construction of the new building, Marias has acquired the seven buildings to the west of their current building, facing High St.
Six of those properties are planned to be demolished, but we will be keeping the southernmost building, often referred to as the Dime Store. It will initially be used as overflow from their current building, while the new building is under construction and their employee count continues to grow.
Haines stated that 1st floor retail space will be available in the new building. The first floor will be over 6,500 sq ft of retail space.
Marias Technology plans to occupy the second and third floors. This space, approximately 17,000 sq ft, will be outfitted for future growth of Marias, with the majority of the current Marias operation staying in their existing building upon completion of the new building.
