Due to the current restrictions on public gatherings, and health department guidelines the Covington Village offices are now closed to the public until further notice. Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the closing of the Village office is imperative for the for the health and safety of our employees as well as the general public. No face to face utility or income tax assistance will be available until further notice. Village staff will continue to be available via telephone during normal business hours to answer questions and assist Village residents.
Although we must limit face to face in interaction between village staff and the public, the Village will continue to provide normal village services as staffing and public health guidelines allow.
Utility payments may be dropped off in the parking lot drop-box as you exit the Government Center parking lot. Utility payments may also be made via the Village’s online payment system or through the Village’s free ACH payment service. In addition to these services, the Village also offers an interactive voice recognition service that allows customers to check their balances and make over the phone payments to their accounts. The 24/7 available phone number for that service is 877-431-9743
Although all scheduled face to face Income tax assistance has been canceled, income tax staff continue to be available during normal business hours via telephone at 419/394-3303.
Please note that the filing date for 2019 Village income tax returns has been extended to July 15, 2020
Village Income tax paperwork may also be dropped in the parking lot drop-box. Please include copies of your W2 forms, your federal 1040 return, and a signed Village income tax form. Please also include your phone number and St. Mary’s staff will contact you once they receive your paperwork.
