COVINGTON HOMETOWN CHRISTMAS CHEER

November 28, 2025 by Village of Covington

One day after Thanksgiving, Covington held a Hometown Christmas Cheer evening within the community to set the tone for the final month of the year.

The evening started at 5:30pm with a Christmas Parade on the route from University Street through Wall Street, Spring Street, High Street and Wright Street. Then, Christmas Tree Lighting took place at 5:45pm on the corner of Wright Street and High Street.

Caroling was also presented at the corner of Wright Street and High Street from 6:00pm to 6:30pm and many community members were able to meet Santa Claus in the Covington Government Center from 6:00pm to 7:30pm.

What also made the evening memorable was the opportunity for people to explore Covington’s charming shops and cozy restaurants for perfect holiday gifts, warm bites, and extra cheer.

Overall, there were several community members present to enjoy the entire evening.
