The Covington Police Department is a full-service, community oriented, village police department, serving the citizens of the Village of Covington 24 hours a day. Work schedule includes the following work schedules one (1) 12-hour day shift and one (1) 12-hour night shift. Pay range is $25.91/hr to $31.50/hr. Benefits include: Full Health Insurance (HSA or PPO), with an added Village Contribution of $2,000 for employee or $4,000 for employee + children. 100% Premium paid by the Village. Vacation and sick accrual. 24-hours of personal leave. Life Insurance offered. 12 paid holidays. Uniforms/Equipment and Continuing Education provided. Ohio Police & Fire Retirement Fund Membership.
Minimum Qualifications Include:
1. Must be OPOTA Law Enforcement Certified or in an OPOTA Academy
2. No Felony Convictions
3. High School Diploma or GED
4. Valid Driver’s License
