The Village of Covington will be flushing all fire hydrants throughout the community starting June 15, 2026 as part of routine maintenance. Hydrant flushing helps maintain water quality, removes sediment from water mains, and ensures hydrants are operating properly for fire protection.
Residents may notice temporary discoloration in their water or a slight drop in water pressure during flushing activities. If discoloration occurs, please run water for several minutes until the water clears. The water is safe to consume.
