Village of Covington, Ohio

Covington is a village in Miami County, Ohio and was incorporated in 1835 on the site of the 1793 Fort Rowdy. Laid out in 1816, Covington was previously known under the names of Friendship, Newberry, and Stillwater. A post office called Stillwater was established in 1825 and changed to the name of Covington, Ohio in 1836.

Schoolhouse Park – Amphitheater News

The Village of Covington has recently been selected as a grant recipient for the UVMC Community Benefit Fund grant program we are extremely grateful to the Premier Health UVMC Community Benefit Fund Committee for its generous contribution toward the construction of an amphitheater at Schoolhouse Park.
At this time, through the generous support of the Premier Health UVMC Community Benefit Fund and the Roy J. Weikert Trust, the amphitheater project is now fully funded.
The Village of Covington extends its sincere appreciation to both the Premier Health UVMC Community Benefit Fund Committee and the Roy J. Weikert Trust for their generosity and commitment to our community. Their support is helping bring this exciting project to life.
Schoolhouse Park continues to be an outstanding addition to our community, and we are excited about the opportunities this project will bring. This improvement will enhance the park and create spaces for residents and visitors to enjoy for generations to come.
