The Covington-Newberry Historical Society Museum is located at 101 E. Spring Street. Normal open hours are the first and third Sundays, 2-5 pm and the second and fourth Wednesdays, 5-7 pm.

Operated by the Covington-Newberry Historical Society, the Museum is located near the post office and across the street from the J.R.Clarke Public Library. The building itself dates back to about 1850 and has served many tasks for the town, including a schoolhouse, firehouse, village hall, and jail. What you will find inside is an impressive mix of Covington/Newberry Township artifacts.

The walls of the downstairs are covered with early photographs that date from the mid-1800s to the mid-1900s. Display cases are full of products and promotional pieces from local merchants and political campaigns. Some of the businesses showcased are Westerville Creamery, Miami County Dairy, Drees Co., and Rogers Drums. In addition, there are military displays and church history displays, along with photos of former mayors, fire chiefs, police chiefs, doctors and dentists, and equipment from the Covington Hospital.

Not to be missed, the upstairs contains a collection of antique toys and clothes, as well as kitchen items once produced in the area. The museum also has a collection of vintage clothing, including military uniforms.
