Village of Covington, Ohio

Covington is a village in Miami County, Ohio and was incorporated in 1835 on the site of the 1793 Fort Rowdy. Laid out in 1816, Covington was previously known under the names of Friendship, Newberry, and Stillwater. A post office called Stillwater was established in 1825 and changed to the name of Covington, Ohio in 1836.

Labor Day Weekend was highlighted in Covington by the annual Fort Rowdy Gathering, operated by the Covington-Newberry Historical Society and local businesses and organizations.
